Introduction
Recently, a new downloadable pack was released for Kameo at the price of 400 MS points named The Power Pack. It introduced a new difficulty setting called Expert Mode with new achievements accompanying it. Some of these achievements can be quite challenging in Solo mode. To unlock the Expert Mode achievements, you simply need to finish the level instead of obtaining a specific score. Moreover, if you cannot complete the levels on your own, you can unlock the achievements by playing with someone in co-op mode. Therefore, the focal point of this guide is to get you through each level in Solo mode.
If you’re seeking a high score, the principles are the same as before. Increase your multipliers, protect them, and go in to Warrior Focus at the appropriate location. Expert Mode Changes
- It is much less forgiving and in most cases, dying will end the game and you will have to start the level over. Therefore, maintaining your health is paramount.
- You start out with all elemental warriors. However, the drawback is that they will not possess any advanced techniques. E.g. Major Ruin no longer possesses the Hyper Cyclone technique. You’ll have to use another warrior to enter focus.
- All levels are switched meaning that everything that was on the left is now on the right and vice versa.
- Different enemies appear on each level and vary in numbers. As a result, it’s much harder to protect your multipliers.
- Some trolls have much more health than previously seen. This is indicated by their size.
- Rubble is useless because he does not have the Razor Stone technique anymore. He’s only useful for Shield Trolls and feeding statues.
- You will not be able to equip your favorite Eye or any other Eye for that matter.
- Focus mode is much shorter simply because it’s more difficult to maintain it. You will have to kill the Doomed Trolls as quickly as you can.
- To complete each level and unlock the achievement, you will have to defeat the bosses once again.
- You must beat the previous level for the game to unlock the next level.
Health Tips
Health is paramount in Expert Mode since you no longer have access to the Eye of restoration. Nevertheless, there are other methods to replenish your health.
- The most obvious is obtaining the red health hearts.
- Snipe lava buckets and step into the lava as Ash.
- Stand in camp fires as Ash.
- As Pummel Weed, walk in to Water Crabs.
- As Ash, allow Dragons shooting fireballs to hit you.
- As Thermite, walk in to Scorpions.
- Walloping a few enemies can spawn a health heart
Note: If you make it to the Boss, the game will replenish your health completely.
