Game Description

Assuming you got all of the possible achievements (38) in Half-Life 2, you will earn 12 in Epsiode 1. If you're stuck on getting though Episode 1 levels, you can visit nextgenwalkthroughs.com for their Episode 1 videos.

Here's a list of the chapters in Half-Life 2 - Episode 1: Undue Alarm, Direct Intervention, Low Life, Urban Flight, and Exit 17.

Important note regarding The One Free Bullet achievement: To get this, you can only use grenades, the crowbar, rocket launcher, and gravity gun. Use any other weapons and you won't get it. The area you use this one free bullet is in the chapter Low Life where you will drop down a vent and will have to open a gate. The only way to open it is to use the pistol to shoot a padlock. Make sure you do it with one shot. Saving before is probably a good idea.

	Watch Your Head
	Make it to the bottom of the Citadel's main elevator shaft in one piece.

This is story related so you can't miss it. You get it towards the end of Undue Alarm.

	Containment
	Contain the Citadel core.

This is story related so you can't miss it. You get this in Direct Intervention.

	Pacifist
	Contain the Citadel core without killing any stalkers.

In Direct Intervention, you will come to a part where Alyx calls an elevator and you get on it by yourself. When you get off the elevator there will be two stalkers in that area. Do not kill them. Once you contain the Citadel core, this achievement will unlock.

	Grave Robber
	Steal a Zombine's grenade.

You can get this in the chapter Low Life. When you see a zombie with a grenade in its hand, grab it with the gravity gun.

	Car Crusher
	Use the cars to squash 15 antlions in Episode One.

In Low Life, after you head up the stairs to get to the parking garage, you will have to turn a wheel with a red bicycle next to it. In this area is a car and a crater where the antlions will emerge from. Just stand by the crater and keep shoving the car into them to kill them. Keep doing that until the achievement unlocks.

	Zombie-que
	Use flares to light 15 zombies on fire.

Once you have the elevator working in Low Life, many zombies will spawn. Pick up the flares and set them on fire. Keep doing it until the achievement unlocks. You might want to scope the area out first to see where the flares are. Note: its possible to get a few flare kills earlier in the level.

	Elevator Action
	Survive long enough to get on the parking garage elevator.

This is story related so you'll get it Low Life.

	Live Bait
	Help Alyx snipe 30 enemies in Episode One.

You get this in the chapter Urban Flight. Just leave the killing to Alyz and lure everyone out. Make sure you don't leave prematurely.

	Attica!
	Destroy the gunship in the hospital attic.

This is story related so can't miss it. You'll get it in Urban Flight.

	Citizen Escort
	Don't let any citizens die when escorting them to the escape train.

Make sure to do manual saves everytime you escort a group to safety. You get this in the chapter City 17.

	Escape From City 17
	Escape City 17 with Alyx.

This is story related and you get it when you get on the train..

	The One Free Bullet
	Beat Episode One firing exactly one bullet. Grenade, crowbar, rocket, and Gravgun kills are okay!

If you followed the direction at the top of the page regarding this achievement, it will unlock right after the previous achievement.
